I'm Joseph Tracy, an infrastructure engineer in Seattle with over two decades operating enterprise systems: storage and virtualization, Linux and Windows Server, campus networks, and the monitoring and alerting that watches all of it. I have done that work at the failure end, as the escalation point for global server fleets and the engineer a hard case routes to when the frontline is out of moves, staying on a problem through root cause instead of handing back a workaround that fails again a week later.
These days I turn that operational depth into production tooling that ships with its documentation, tested and version-controlled, written up under projects and published with its source on GitHub. I take on independent work in storage, infrastructure, automation, and diagnostics: tooling, modernization reviews, and the operational problems that do not fit a runbook.
